Pravasi Doha decided to form Pravasi Trust with Head Quarters
at Kochi to co-ordinate the activities in Kerala in 1998.
Pravasi Trust was registered under the Indian Trust Act
as a charitable organization on November 15, 1999. The
corpus of the Pravasi Trust was generated from the contributions
of Pravasi Doha and well wishers. Babu Mather,
founder member of Pravasi Doha, is the Managing Trustee
of the Trust. K K Sudhakaran, M A Rahman,
P Semsudeen and S A M Basheer are the Joint

| 4. | To Institute an annual award-Basheer Puraskaram-- in memory of the legendary Malayalam writer late Vaikkom Mohammed Basheerand organize the award ceremonies |
| 5. | To institute scholarship for financially backward students every year from the native place of Basheer Puraskaram recipients. |
